But, Your Babies Won't Wait
It's a struggle most mom's will commiserate with. "I'm sorry for the messy house!" "Please excuse my un-mopped floor!" "Please don't look at my pile of laundry!" "I'm sorry I haven't dusted in a month!"
The guilt between doing the housework or choosing to snuggle your babies. The worry and anxiety over what people will think if they stop by to you snuggling your babies when your house is a complete wreck. But, when in doubt, always choose to snuggle those babies!
The housework will *always* be there. Even well after your kids are grown and moved out. The housework will never grow up, it will never move out, it will never graduate, it will never create its own family. Housework is there day in and day out. It is never a day older. It doesn't change quickly and reach milestones. The housework will never cease to exist.
But, this moment. This moment will end. Those babies will quit snuggling, they will grow longer hair, they will learn new words, they will start to roll over, they will begin to crawl and walk and run. Those babies will only be this young for this one single day. Tomorrow they will be another day older, another milestone met, another tooth popped, another ounce gained.
Snuggle those babies! Play hide and seek! Chase each other through the house! Cherish that laughter, that smile, that pure joy and innocence.
The housework will wait, but your babies will not.
