This is What Monday...

Image
Looks like in the Sloan Homestead! We've become cone heads!  And someone has decided to sleep on the job... This has become quite a problem! ;-) Greens get me through my days! It's crazy being a Momma of 2, Magazine Rep and It Works! Distributor! Happy Monday! Until next time, friends

Hey, Hey! It's Monday!

Image
You guys! It's Monday! Ok, I know... most people HATE Monday's... but me?! I love Monday's!  Actually, I love any day of the week! Why? Because I'm alive!  Because I have another day with my kids! My husband! My horses! My cows! My cats!  Another day of this beautiful life that I'm so blessed to be living! It's also almost APRIL! April is my FAVORITE month of the year and I get so fired up for it! This April is going to ROCK! Ben and I are celebrating our 3rd Wedding Anniversary! So April is always a fun month for us! This year for our celebrations, we are going to PROM! Yes, you heard that right! We are going to prom again! We got our prom tickets Friday night and I am super stoked! I am crazy and crazy sentimental, so I still have both my prom dresses! I will be (hopefully) getting back into my Senior Prom dress and rocking it out again! It was worn once back in 2007! Not the greatest pictu...

My No Poo Journey: Week 1

Image
You guys... so far I'm LOVING this No Poo thing! I'm already seeing the effects of NO commercial soaps/shampoos/conditioners and it's only been a week!  I've been washing my hair with my baking soda mixture and conditioning it with my vinegar mixture for every shower. I take a shower everyday for the most part.  After my shower my hair has been a breeze to brush through! The only thing different I've noticed is that it's not as "sleek" when running my finger through it while it's wet. It feels a little like straw, but once my hair is dry it is soft and smooth and bounces!  Once I make it to the store to buy a new thing of Coconut Oil, I will be deep-conditioning my hair with that and will do a post about it!  For now, here are some pictures of my hair 1 week into our journey! OK, so I couldn't wait the entire week... I'm too excited. It's close enough though, today being Day 6 of my journey! Here's some pictures...

I'm So Lucky to Have You

Image
Ever have those days where your heart just feels like it's going to burst open because it's so full of love and joy? Those days where you look at your kids and just smile and cry because you're so happy to have them in your life? How about those days where you just feel like you're the luckiest person on the planet because you have the most gorgeous kids ever? (I know, I'm biased) This is my everyday. These are who I get to hang out with all day. These are my kids. Just a few moments ago I was crawling around on the kitchen floor with a washcloth to finish cleaning up the milk mess Bentley made. Bentley cleaned it up nicely, but naturally the floors are sticky. Bailey thought it was the funniest thing ever and started following me around laughing and trying to take my washcloth. After I was done, I picked her up while she was squealing her signature happy squeal, telling her how gorgeous she is and that's when I said it, "I'm so luc...

Who Told My Baby She Could Grow Up?!

Image
I'm serious. Who told her? Because I want to speak with you! You should have come to me first because I am her mother! I did not give you permission to tell my baby that she could grow up! Miss Bailey turned 7 months today! I can hardly believe that 7 months have gone by so quickly! She was just my itty bitty last week, wasn't she? Let's reminisce. Because I love walks down Memory Lane.   That was 7 months ago... It seems like last week. Here's my little beauty today! Very happy after dinner last night! BLW FTW! On Monday she pulled herself up standing for the very first time! I finally caught it on camera today! Perfect for her 7 month birthday! And today marks 7 months of Exclusively Breastfeeding! I'm so grateful for being able to make it this far in our breastfeeding journey! Her newest favorite is Nurse-nastics! (think, gymnastics) Happy Wednesday, y'all! Make it awesome! Until nex...

*REVIEW* Red Leaf Matcha Green Tea

Image
Awhile back I won a giveaway a fellow blogger and mommy friend of mine was running. Well, tonight I tried it out and here is my "unofficial" little review of what I tried today. I realized after I took these pictures that I got rid of our ice cube trays and so I didn't have any ice cubes to try it as a Frozen Latte.  So I tried it as a Hot Latte. I should have know the results of this...  I tried the Caramel Mocha first. It smelled HEAVENLY when I opened the bag. So I was actually really excited for a nice little afternoon sweetness!  Yeah, not so much. Maybe I had too much milk or not enough Matcha. I don't know but it was gross, gross, gross. Unfortunately, I ended up dumping the rest down the drain. If you want to try Red Leaf Matcha Green Tea yourself, visit HERE and I hear they give FFS (free for shipping) samples! Stay tuned to this post. Eventually I will get some ice and try it as a Frozen Latte. I will keep all my "u...

It Works! Facials

Image
I've been a distributor for It Works! for a little over 2 years now! It's crazy how fast that time went... Though I'm not where I had hoped to be by now by no fault of anyone but my own... My miscarriage was really hard on me and I let that be my excuse for why I quit promoting my business like I was and that allowed for everything to completely fall apart. I just didn't care at the time, I was too wrapped up.  But, I'm back and even stronger! I have two amazing little kids that keep me going, going, going like the Energizer Bunny everyday! Today I did another facial! I've been using these on and off for a awhile but I am AWFUL about taking before and after pictures of myself! Just like I have had such amazing results with the Stretch Mark cream and I completely forget to take pictures! Boo! Any-who, I did a facial today! I am just amazed by our products every time I use them. So everyday I'm just amazed! My face feels so buttery smooth and ah! ...

My No Poo Journey: Coconut Oil

Image
Back when I was pregnant with Bailey, I started reading about Coconut Oil. My main concern was a cloth diaper safe diaper cream and Coconut Oil was the most recommended among the cloth diapering communities I belong to. So, in my quest to prepare for the arrival of our little girl, I went and bought Coconut Oil. Ever since then, I have been opened to the wonderful world that is Coconut Oil and all of its uses! This post is going to be dedicated to how Coconut Oil can be used to deep condition your hair. If you're following along, you know I have started the No Poo, you can read HERE about it. I am using the baking soda method right now where you use a baking soda mixture to wash and a vinegar mixture to condition. But, who doesn't love other ways to deep condition their hair?! So... I bring you this post! Virgin Coconut Oil Great for many things! It's one of the best hair conditioners and if you go with the virgin and organic, it's completely chemi...
