Shopping, Christmas Cookies, House Offer... So many updates!
Whoa! Lots to catch up on! I've been without internet on my computer for FOUR days and it's been very busy around here. I haven't had the chance to sit down and blog.
Ben bought me an iPhone for my birthday! I’m liking it so far, but it won’t tether internet to my computer like my DroidX could… so, I've had to get an outside internet source and they were FINALLY here Monday to get everything all setup! It was a blessing in disguise though, because now I can talk on the phone and be on the internet at the same time which will help my productivity at work quite a bit!
So, to get all caught up…
Friday was an ordinary day. Ben ran his last 5K of the year, helping our cousin complete her New Years Resolution!
(Ben is the one in the orange shorts!)
Then we took Bailey with us to help momma and daddy celebrate my 25th birthday and finish Mr Bentley's Christmas shopping! We ate at Don Pablo’s… If you haven’t been there… GO. GO NOW! Total YUM!
(Pretty town of Marshall during Christmas Time)
(and... they play Christmas music outside!)

(Bailey fell asleep in the Ring Sling while shopping!)
Saturday we had a huge snow storm come in… so that delayed our plans for my company Christmas Party that was 3 hours away on GOOD road conditions. So we spent the morning cleaning up as we had our 2nd showing in a WEEK on our house. Once the potential buyers arrived with their Realtor, we took off to go get Bentley who stayed with the IL's.
Fast-forward to Sunday… we had Ben's side family Christmas Dinner. Our Realtor calls about ¾ of the way into it and says there is an offer on the house. I about dropped. You would think trying to sell your house would be an exciting thing… but I have YET to figure out how I should/need/want to feel about all of this. Read THIS if you want to educate yourself on why… So our Realtor tells us the offer. Ben and I talk. I want to cry. I’m excited but sad at the same time. I feel like part of me wants to run off into a corner and yell “NO! THIS IS MY HOUSE! NOT YOURS!” But the logical and mature part of me says “You want more children. You want more land to expand your farm… YOU CANNOT DO THAT HERE!” So I’m playing Good Cop, Bad Cop with myself.
Anyways… that’s where we’re at.
Oh... and remember these?
Yeah, I made them! Stay tuned for a separate blog post on how these cookies turned out in the hands of Momma Sloan!
Oh!! One more thing before I sign off for right now.
I had an amazing opportunity for one of my horses arise last week! A wonderful 13 year old girl lost her mare suddenly so her grandparents and my former Albion College Equestrian Coach went on the lookout for a replacement horse and...
This guy got the job!
My (almost) 4 year old gelding, Argentos Dust, fondly named 'Tank' is headed to his new home today! I couldn't be more excited for his new Journey at Nottawa Paint Horses!
Until next time, friends
