The Life of a Breastfeeding Momma

So like usual, I can't STTN because my milk jugs fill up. So after Bailey went back down after a MOTN snack, I needed to pump. But, ultimately, I also needed to pee, BAD! So I stumble down the stairs like a drunken sailor, pee, and sit in the recliner downstairs to get my daily hand exercises in.

Tick Tock... Tick Tock...

20 minutes later. I'm done.

Wander back upstairs and what do I find?!

A cute little 3 year old on my side of the bed...

So... like any good mother, what did I do? I left him in his peacefulness. He's going through a bit of a late start with jealousy with his new baby sister. He just recently started all this, so I'm taking a step back to look at my words and actions to see if I'm treating him differently.

I've noticed some jealousy that sissy sleeps in momma and daddy's room (we have a 2 bedroom farm house, so her "nursery" is in the corner of our room), so we find him in our bed multiple times a night now and he started asking to go to sleep in momma and daddy's room.  I've also noticed sometimes if I'm nursing and he needs help, if I don't use both hands he gets upset and tries to grab my other hand so I use both to help him with whatever it is he needs help with. Oh, and heaven forbid Bailey has her OWN toys. He sneaks into the office all cat-like, snatches a toy and then takes off running to the living room like he just committed a bank robbery! I also sense jealousy that sissy hangs out with momma in the office all day while I work; such is the life of a WAHM. So cue: naughty behavior. The list goes on and on and it's frustrating that it's starting late, but I need to look at myself as a mother of 2 children before putting blame on anyone else but myself.

I've also noticed... that he wants to wear diapers again. Yes, diapers. Le sigh. Potty training was going beautifully... well, it still is for the most part, we're still having poop issues but everything else is going smoothly. But now, now he wants to wear one of sissy's diapers to bed and since he has an ammonia issue with overnight diapers (we are a cloth diapering family) I haven't been able to cloth diaper him overnight since he was about a year old.

and... since I ran out of pull-ups, might as well use sister's size 3 diapers (which fit him perfectly). Thankfully he's still all about his 'choo-choo's' (undies) during the day and will poop on the potty during the day... but he just LOVES leaving the poop for when he is sleeping and has a diaper on.

Until next time, friends
